Once in a blue moon - a common phrase used by many. A blue moon means the occurrence of full moon twice in a same month. The period of revolution of moon around earth is nearly 29.5 days. This is an unusual happening i.e, only if u have a full moon on the first or second of a month, a blue moon is possible. Blue moon has recently occurred on July 31, 2004 and June 30, 2007. The next blue moon is on December 31, this year.
